The primary focus of AS/R Systems, Inc. is the implementation of horizontal and vertical carousel systems rebuilt (not just sold as used or refurbished) from
equipment manufactured by White Storage and Retrieval Systems.
Unlike used equipment, AS/R applies rigid standards for all aspects

In a typical situation,
warehouse layout is something of an afterthought. For example, a warehouse might have a steeply-angled roof, low-hung air conditioning
units and columns that break the storage area into small quadrants not suitable for traditional shelving, racking or lift trucks.
Ceiling height in the warehouse may be limited. In cases like this, a horizontal carousel system might be the answer to
optimize space. Horizontal units can be squeezed into open areas, thereby avoiding any obstacles and providing the dense storage required
for the tight space. Similarly, a vertical carousel system could be the answer for small warehouses with high ceilings.
In
any scenario, horizontal or vertical carousels can reduce labor requirements, reduce handling and make possible more accurate order
