- Integration with other picking
Carousels start the picking process. The slowest (and often hardest to pick items can become part of a pick to light process) where the operator sets up for the broken case picking line. Up to three thousand orders a night are processed throught carousel pod, flow rack line and full case line with waves of orders for five trucks in reverse sequence to the truckers routing
- Full cases are picked from another zone
Full case picking are "thrown" onto two conveyor lines where they a merged together with split cases picked.
- Everything is merged
The full and split cases are all merged together and sent to one of five conveyor lines where the trucks are loaded.
