Base Magic Warehouse™ Professional Services typically include setup for batch order picking methods driven from host downloaded order-picking
files, using a manual batch formation method for batch order selection. Support services are intended to assist the client with
design, testing and “go live” implementation with host interface. Services are spread over a four to eight week period starting
with a two-day “kick off” meeting. The objective of this session is to define data interfacing problems, specify daily order
file download and daily location data base file configurations, determine if daily or more frequent parts master file download files
are required, specify order download timing, identify shared file location for order files, address questions relating to adding to
order files during the day, updating the parts master with each order download session etc. “Kick off” is generally followed
by several days offsite to develop/review test files and complete detailed interface specifications, a day to demonstrate a working
interface prototype for customer approval, a day to complete required modifications and two days of live on site testing between the
client host and workstation PC’s.
Base professional services package covers loading Magic Warehouse™ application software
onto client provided PC’s, performing basic application training and providing post installation support. Customers must supply
PC equipment with all network and system software configured, installed and tested prior to start of software installation.
Magic Warehouse™ is AS/R’s Transaction Control and Processing (TXP) package for storage/retrieval and DC wide automation. It comes
with standard optional modules for automating “each” picking by zone, product kitting and work order support for assembly operations
on carousels, VSR’s and vertical carousels. Standard “bolt on” options are also available for DC wide RF system integration
to tie order processing and/or work order and WIP parts picking from both automated and non-automated zones within any production
or finished goods shipping facility. The simplest base system configuration includes a single seat Magic Warehouse™ license
plus technical support services, but can be scaled to any number of multiple seats throughout the facility, subject to client need,
for a larger system wide deployment. The base system includes a refreshable parts location master database with record locations
for part numbers, description, storage location for on and off carousel, and a wide variety of support functions and utilities to
support single and multiple zone operations. Manually entered “hot pick” control inputs can spin carousels to a desired location
based on part number search, or location-based search read-in by key entry or wedge reader. Batch order processing features
can be configured to support carousel based “pick to light” methods through the use of optional light tree drivers, sort bar drivers
and off carousel carton flow or shelf location devices. Magic Warehouse™ integrates to any business system data base, comes
with configurable report generation features, is compliant with “big box” distributor AS/N labeling needs, supports multiple order
download/upload for real time status updates with the host, and can be configured to support powerful specialized order processing
methodologies, including a variety of techniques such as “prioritization by time due” codes, single line order “virtual batching”,
single zone “pick complete” methods, multi store grouping, etc.

Other Features
Off-carousel RF Handheld directed picking is also available as a bolt-on option to control your off-carousel picks.
On-site training and installation, phone support for technical assistance, and on-call technicians offer immediate troubleshooting
to ensure seamless integration with any new or existing carousel project.
- Lightree™ and Sortbar™ devices can be integrated into pick-to-light
methods, greatly increasing the carousel operator performance.
- Pick files from the host system are downloaded and batched up to 16
orders at a time.
- Picks are grouped by location and sorted in a round-robin fashion to optimize the sequence of picking. While
the operator picks from a bin location, the other carousels are pre-positioned for the next picks.
- Commonality also allows the operator
to pick the total for "like" items and distribute them to sortbar positions in one simple operation.
