Rebuilding in our shops

Over the past 15 years, AS/R Systems has perfected the carousel rebuilding process to provide an end product that functions like new.   The staff at AS/R take pride in knowing that each component is thoroughly cleaned, inspected and rebuilt to meet our high quality standards.  Take a closer look at AS/R’s rebuilding process.

Electronics Inspection

All electronics components are tested and rebuilt to specification.
-680 Boxes
-CIB's
-IPC's
-530 Keyboards
-Miscellaneous electronics parts

Top and Bottom Plates

-All dirt and grime is removed from plates
-Links, pins, bushing, wheels, and bearings removed,    inspected, and replaced as required.
-Lubrication is injected into all moving components and metal contacts
-Plates are repainted, palletized, wrapped, and placed in inventory

Nose-ends

Nose-ends are cleaned, inspected for wear, and rebuilt as required:  Parts tested for quality control include:

• Gear reducers
• Pillow blocks
• Sprockets
• Track

-Motors are removed
-Sprocket adjusted
-Track is painted, stainless steel is greased
-All bearings are greased
-Rebuilt motors are installed (matched sets)
-Wrapped, stored and labeled

Motors and Gearboxes

-Motors and gearboxes are disassembled and cleaned
-Armature & field windings thoroughly inspected
-New brushes & bearings are installed and all fluids replaced

-Motor and gearbox cases are repainted, and motors run through quality testing 

-All tables are completely stripped, repainted, and fabricated to customer specifications.

-Hydraulic components are tested and replaced as necessary
